A Rose Is A Rose Is A Rose!

Things are as they are, not as they should be!

Hello 2010!!

HELLO! THE NEW YEAR IS HERE!

I do think New Year’s resolutions can’t technically be expected to begin on New Year’s Day, don’t you? Since, because it’s an extension of New Year’s Eve, smokers are already on a smoking roll and cannot be expected to stop abruptly on the stroke of midnight with so much nicotine in the system. Also dieting on New Year’s Day isn’t a good idea as you can’t eat rationally but really need to be free to consume whatever is necessary, moment by moment, in order to ease your hangover. I think it would be much more sensible if resolutions began generally on January the second”, said Helen Fielding

And I agree with her completely!!

And that is why I am making some New Year Blogging Resolutions today, on 2nd January 2010!

Eric Zorn said, “Making resolutions is a cleansing ritual of self-assessment and repentance that demands personal honesty and, ultimately, reinforces humility. Breaking them is part of the cycle.

So, with complete honesty and self-assessment, and I hope I don’t break them, I resolve to do the following in this new year, on my blog…

  • Post more regularly : When I entered this blogging world, I was so very disciplined. For 2 months consecutively I posted one blog-post a day!! And then the blogging frequency took a steep nose dive!! In this year, I will post more regularly!! I will.
  • Add more variety on my Blog’s Menu. Yeah, that’s needed!
  • Develop some new themes/ideas which would feature at regular intervals on the blog. That’s surely interesting!!
  • Respond to ALL comments!! Positively!
  • Savor the blogs I love more… in other words, spend less time on my farm! *Sigh*
  • Try to give my Blog a new look…This is the scariest one. Changing the blog template is one harrowing experience! Hope I am able to do it smoothly this time!

Well, that’s my To-Do list for my blog! And I need your good wishes and support in achieving these objectives!

And here’s wishing that every day of the new year glow with good cheer and happiness, smiles and joy, warmth and good health, growth and abundance for you and your family!!

  9. @ Subhayan : Thanks Subhayan!! 🙂

@ theschmuck : So nice to have an understanding friend…You know, from tomorrow it’s the Free Fuel Week on FarmVille and I am planning to utilize it by harvesting Strawberries, Black Berries etc…the 4 hour crop…so imagine, how busy I will be on my farm!! **Sigh**
Thanks for your good wishes, I need them!! 🙂

  10. We all blog a lot when we are new 🙂 but I think a post a day is tedious for readers. 2-3 posts a week is ok and gives them a good shelf life.

  11. Nice New Year resolutions. I particularly like “respond to all comments positively”. The mere fact you are responding makes me feel good because some bloggers never respond to the comments. Are they too busy or are they showing that much “respect” to their readers?

  12. @ Inty swetha : Thanks Swetha! Take your time…would love to see your new year resolutions!! 🙂

@ Reema : Yeah Reema, you are absolutely right!!
1 post a day is taxing for even the blogger, after a time!! And even the quality of the posts suffer! So, a post every 2nd or 3rd day is fair enough! And I plan to do that!! 🙂

  13. @ SG : Thanks SG! I believe, blogging is like a conversation, where you are talking to your readers and the readers contribute to the conversation by way of comments, so it’s rather rude if the blogger didn’t respond to the comments!

In fact, I wish Blogger had that interactive comments format as WordPress! It makes commenting much easier!

  14. @ Madhu : Thanks a lot Madhu!!
    Lol! Good question!! 🙂

    @ Gyanban : Thank you!
How to track my resolutions??….Your latest post gave me an idea!!
Make a score sheet with all the parameters, targets and deadlines! That should help!
    Thanks! 🙂

  15. Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!

  16. Please follow all the resolutions you made…it will be a treat for readers like me. The more the merrier!! 🙂

Wish you a fun-filling and prosperous new year!!

  17. OMG you posted a post everyday for 2 months. I struggle to post once a week. How come so many ideas in your head.
