A Rose Is A Rose Is A Rose!

Things are as they are, not as they should be!

The Countdown Has Begun!

We have been waiting for this to happen for a long time.

While the last nine months, now seem like have passed in a blink of a eye, the final few days are difficult to go by. There is a growing sense of anticipation and excitement. Each passing day is bringing us closer to him. The wait to welcome our baby home is finally coming to an end!Β  All in the family are planning for so many things and there is excited chatter all around.

Yes, the countdown for Aaryan to join us back home from his boarding school has begun.

Aaryan’s school term ends on 29th and his 3 months winter vacation starts from 30th November.

The tickets have been booked, the bags have been packed, now all I am waiting is for the clock to strike 11 am tomorrow so that I get to board the bus that will take me to Shimla.
KG along with Aaryan’s grand parents wait for him at home, while I travel to bring back our baby home.

Can’t wait to see you again, my dearest sonny boy!!

    1. A boarding school at the age of 11? Why? you can keep him at your place na? I have been away from my parents for a year and I know how it feels like! I think he would feel much better if you are at his side … Just an opinion maam…

  2. Shilpa,

This getting together will have such a lot of pleasure that is to be felt to understand. If you are in Delhi for some time, do let me know if we can meet.

    Take care

  3. I can understand you excitement, and I can also understand his excitement in coming home, for I have lived in hostels and I have been a mother too.

LOL πŸ˜€ There are always some nice blog worthy things when travelling, and came across some nice funny things too! Let me see, if I can put them across in a post! :))

    1. In Shimla, since the winters are very harsh, most (or all) schools have winter vacations and summer vacations are just for 8 days or so!! So, the length of vacations is same as in other schools in other parts of the country! πŸ™‚

  5. Hugs Shilpa! I understand your excitement and know that Aaryan must be even more excited for his mom to arrive. Enjoy your time with him, and that’s a long vacation!

    1. Yeah, most schools in Shimla have this long winter break. I went just for a day and my bones could feel the cold despite 4 layers of woolens! Thanks a lot Rachna and Hugs! πŸ™‚

    1. Yes!! Wow indeed!! Schools reopen in first week of March! And 3 months are winter vacations and also their academic session is complete too, so March they start the new academic year and a summer break of 8 days unlike other schools in the plains which have 2-2.5 month long summer break and another 10-15 days winter break! πŸ™‚

  6. Wow, enjoy! Maternal love is oozing out of this post. the next 3 months hope to hear your bonding time stories here, Shilpa. of course, only when you find time off your son. Cherish, enjoy and make lot of memories.
