  1. Ha! You got me again! And that quote is something to think about. My husband’s parents divorced when he was 13 (so some 30 years ago). Both have been remarried to other people for almost as long. MIL (mother-in-law) says she is still ‘great friends’ with FIL (father-in-law), but he has been known to disappear for a couple of days if she is visiting from out of town! *lol*

  2. That’s too good . He’s wise, after all. His decision of not rekindling the ex-romance is appreciated 😀 Your way of teasing our imagination is too beautiful 🙂

  3. I like the way the story twists here 🙂 He did the right thing by not rekinding an old romance with this particular ex. But at the same time I think it maybe possible for some ex’s to remain friends…love and relationships are far too complicated to be forced fit into any formula 🙂

  4. I loved the quote is sounds so right. I don’t believe in having any kind of relationship once the bridge has burnt between two people.

  5. Remaining friend with drinks – good that he stayed away. On a different note, as two ex can be good friends with gained maturity, am sure the friendship with drinks will be handled with maturity :-).

  6. This strange duality, dichotomy rather queer contradiction – something I could not understand and is seen more in the new generation. Though it has been common in the West for long.
True as you mentioned, either they were never in love and I would add they are faking friendship now.

  7. if ex’es are friends they are in love??? maybe.. just proves that love has different forms.. acquanitane love, friendship love, and now ex-love!!! 😛

  8. Kidnappers asking you to stay in touch! This really happens. This is called Stockholm Syndrome. Later renamed as Patty Hearst Syndrome.
