Things are as they are, not as they should be!

Believe #AtoZChallenge @AprilA2Z

My theme for this year’s Blogging from A to Z April Challenge is Cultivating Happiness. Today, B is for Believe in Yourself.

B

55 Fiction

Fear gripped my heart. The brain stuttered in panic.

I couldn’t believe that he was no longer a part of my world.

Without him what kind of life would it be?

So caught up was I in my insecurities and pain, that I lost the perspective.

How could I forget that I had myself too?

A Word to the Wise

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Believe in yourself, your goals and your dreams. You are capable of accomplishing amazing feats. Believe in others as well. Believe in your family and your friends.

  2. It’s 9.06 p.m. this side in South Africa Shilpa so it’s blooming marvellous to get yours early. A lovely reminder to believe in one’s self thank you! I should add that it’s still Friday πŸ™‚

    1. True that. We must encourage ourselves, believe in ourselves, and love ourselves. Never doubt who we are. πŸ™‚

  3. Self-believe can be the guiding light taking us places we never imagined.
Another beautiful post in cultivating happiness theme πŸ˜€

    1. Well said, ME πŸ™‚
Somebody has said it so rightly, “You may be the only person left who believes in you, but it’s enough. It takes just one star to pierce a universe of darkness. Never give up.”

    1. A valuable lesson in life too.
Aah! The different time zones makes that possible πŸ™‚
Thanks and good luck to you too πŸ™‚

  4. We succumb to the fear of losing others. And in a heartbreak we feel as if the entire world has come crashing down! Alas! Wish we believed more in ourselves!

  5. I’m loving the quotes that you’re putting in the end.. Of course, along with the post πŸ™‚

Sometimes we do forget that it is us who we should care and worried and think about, rather than depending upon everyone else for our happiness.

    Cheers

  6. Sometimes when people leave, they take parts of us along. It’s sad but it happens and for those times, believing in self is so important.

  7. Wow…you’re at it again! I’m missing doing A-Z this year due to work commitments, but I’ll be hopping on your blogs often πŸ™‚
Yes, the power of belief in self is what keeps us all going!

    1. Aah! Wish you were joining us too,… remember your meaningful and short idiom stories of last year. Appreciate your dropping by. πŸ™‚

  8. Such an important yet overlooked point this is. To always have faith in yourself is no easy job, especially for someone like me who is famous for the soups that I land up thanks only to me πŸ˜€
PS: Like I’ve always told – you are the queen of 55 fiction milady πŸ™‚

    1. True, we must realize that the more we believe in ourselves, the more the world believes in us.

  12. You can write. But it is very tragic if it happens in real life. Will never be able to put it in writing. That happened to me a few months ago.

  13. It’s difficult for me to express myself reading your post. Sure Believing in oneself is the biggest force to bring us back after any loss. Thanks, Shilpa for sharing this !!!

  14. When I started believing in myself, amazing things started to happen! It’s an awesome feeling to know that I can do anything no matter how scary it may seem. And it all starts with believing in myself. Great message! And I love your fiction!

    1. That’s simply fantastic, Mary! I am so happy that this post corroborates with your personal experience. Thanks for sharing and glad you like this fiction πŸ™‚

  15. You know Shilpa, at times when someone leaves us, they take along with them a majority of our own self. To gather all that again and to start living needs one to invest time in one’s self.

    1. I know what you mean, Ajay. It’s tough to gather the pieces, but one has to do just that and move on!
