His opponent drew his leg back and delivered a powerful kick to the ribs.

He howled in torment but still charged at his adversary who was quick.

Another high impact hit bruised and knocked one of his teeth out.

Our eyes met and it gave him a glimmer of hope in this otherwise tragic situation.

A Word to the Wise

Unconditional

When you love or support someone unconditionally, it means without any strings attached. Do good deeds for others because you genuinely want to spread joy. But more often than not, we hold ourselves back. Love and support by looking beyond people’s faults, struggles, and whatever pain and hardships that life may bring. Love and support unconditionally for the happiness and inner peace it brings us all

    1. You are spot on! Helping supporting people is something that we can do so easily, freely… but sadly it does not come easily to us!

    1. True! We have so many barriers that prevent us from helping others in need, and this is despite we know how powerful a small gesture of support can be!

  1. It’s amazing how someone’s mere support – just moral even if it may be – can work wonders! We underestimate the power of a supportive presence in our lives!

    1. I love this quote from Leo Buscaglia, which says what you mentioned, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” It is soooo true!

  2. Those eyes have called for truce….wondeful again…..agree with your wise words, shilpa unconditional love is true love and i practice with near and dear ones…..but sometimes in a few relationships i find it difficult to practice especially where i am taken for granted.

    1. How beautiful is that, Asha! Your loved ones are truly blessed! I know, some people make it difficult to bring out the goodness in us 😀
