It was at that moment, when he closed his eyes, a realization, that was unknown until this time, dawned at him.

And that made him feel unexpectedly buoyant.

Drunk on his new-found power, he wondered, “It’s so easy. It takes years to grow and all it takes is a little push to extinguish a life!”

    1. I know what you mean. True, it must take a lot to kill someone without remorse or guilt and finding pleasure in doing so too.

  1. Your stories are a look into the vagaries of crime and how many ways they can be executed. This one, though, a peek into the heart of a killer is the most psychologically effective so far!

    1. I think yes, for psychopaths. It’s believed that they are indifferent to the emotions of others, and often this lack of empathy leads them to commit violent and heinous crimes.

    1. May be it would not be easy for normal people, but for the demented minds, it might be a thrill and easy too.

  2. what a gruesome act, i shudder to hear things like this shilpa, I always think of the family and how they cope with these kind of events in life.. . sad

    1. I know, it must be so devastating for a family to find their loved ones snatched away from them so gruesomely and before time.
