A Rose Is A Rose Is A Rose!

Things are as they are, not as they should be!

Women & Shoes: An Affair in Pairs

Women love shoes. Many women cannot resist buying a new pair of shoes every time they pass by a shoe store.

Shoes have an almost mysterious power. Is it any wonder women obsess over their footwear collections? They make an expensive indulgence seem worthwhile. Shoes transform the way they feel. They give height, power, sexiness and of course elegance if worn with the right ensemble. A pair of jeans looks completely different when you have a pair of red stilettos on than when you wear flip-flops.

Women’s shoes are as varied as women themselves.

In the A to Z series, here’s the β€˜Must Have’ shoes for every woman!!

A

Ankle Boot: Whether they’re flat or heeled, ankle boots and long skirts are a classic combination. Whichever style you prefer, the key is to show no leg.clip_image002

B

Ballet Flats: Ultra feminine and always stylish, ballet flats are a popular choice for dressing up clothes without adding height or killing your feet. clip_image004

C

Clogs are also easy to slip on and run out but they are a little more stylish than a traditional slip-on shoe. From wooden clogs with fur lining to Crocs, clogs are easy to wear and give you a boost of style on your way out the door. clip_image006

D

Dress Shoe is a shoe to be worn at smart casual or more formal events. clip_image008

E

Espadrilles are casual flat or high-heeled fashion sandals of a style which originated in the Pyrenees. They usually have a cotton or canvas upper and a flexible sole of rope or rubber. When it comes to women’s shoe styles, no style stands out more than the espadrilles. clip_image010

F

Flip Flops: A flip flop is a flat, casual thong sandal that is free at the back, so that when one walks, they get a sort of “flip-flop” sound.clip_image012

G

Gladiator Sandals: With a wealth of celebrities supporting this trendy footwear, the strappy gladiator sandals are fast becoming the must-have shoe!clip_image014

H

High Heels may be shoes with heels 2 inches (5 cm) or higher. They are often seen as having more sex appeal than low heel and are thus commonly worn by women for formal occasions or social outings. clip_image015

I

Ice Skates are boots with blades attached to the bottom, used to propel oneself across a sheet of ice.clip_image017

J

Jogging Shoes: Select shoes with better fit, are durable and well-cushioned and which are light weight and comfortable too.clip_image018

K

Kitten Heels: Tapered like the stiletto, but as the heel is only 1″-2″ high, the effect is more cute than sexy. The style was popularized by Audrey Hepburn.clip_image019

L

Loafers: Loafers have an inherently “preppy” feel to them, making them a great choice for adding a sporty touch to casual attire. They’re perfect with jeans or casual pants, but to keep them from being boring, look for a unique color, finish, texture, or detailing.clip_image021

M

Mojari is a generic name of handcrafted ethnic footwear. The uppers are made of one piece of leather or textile embroidered with bright and ornate threads and embellished with brass nails, cowries shells, mirrors, bells and ceramic beads.clip_image023

N

Narrow Width Shoes: Tip for Narrow Widths: The more letters, the slimmer the shoe.
Example: AAAA or 4A is more narrow than AAA or 3A.

clip_image024

O

Open Toe Dress Heel: This open or peep-toe shoe can be a closed back pump or a slingback. This shoe is for dressing up. The open toe makes it a little sexy. A shiny patent leather or metallic are good options. clip_image026

P

Pumps : The classic black pump can be worn everyday to the office, to job interviews and to just about every other business occasion. This closed toe simple shoe should have a 2-3 inch heel depending on your own personal preference. You can choose from leather, microfiber or other fabrics. Just keep it basic.clip_image028

Q

Q-Form alignment system in shoes provides all-day comfort and support. So go in for this!

R

Reef Sandals are a great choice for summer, because they are made of sturdy construction and have quite thick straps. These hardy sandals make great footwear for long summer treks. clip_image030

S

Sandals are always a favorite in Spring and Summer months for their casual beauty and ease of wear. A closet full of sandals is not uncommon for many women, because they look great with dresses, skirts and jeans. Sandals are easy to dress up or dress down, making them perfect to transition from a daytime lunch to an evening outing. clip_image032

T

Tall Boot : Casual or dressy, flat or heeled, a pair of tall boots is one of the most versatile footwear items you can have in your wardrobe.clip_image034

U

“U Cube” T-Strap Sandal is a cute little go-with-everything option for dress or casual. The cute cutout upper and adorable details like a chunky heel and buckled t-strap give it definite appeal. clip_image036

V

Vegetarian Shoes: Many people prefer to purchase leather free shoes and footwear made with no animal byproducts!! Made from microfibre backed real cork, these vegan shoes are soft and amazingly flexible! clip_image038

W

Wedge Sandals are sandals but have the ankles higher as if wearing a high heels shoe. clip_image040
