The sea and the moving tides beckoned her, again.

They had lots in common, the shifting moods for one.

The waves rolled and murmured rhythmically, calming and welcoming her today.

She sat motionless, remembering when the sea had exploded with its stormy temper and had tossed everything around but for a pair of tiny shoes.

  2. Didn’t know how to interpret this but I sense a sadness so perhaps the sea claimed her little child. That is so tragic and sad.

    1. Yes, Alan Kurdi, the three year old Syrian kid! Really sad and tragic his death was, among so many others.

  3. Having gone to Chennai Marina Beach every day during my younger years, I can understand what you are saying about the sea and the waves.

    1. Oh yes, there’s something majestic and mysterious about the sea that pulls us towards it despite the dangers it poses!
