Every once in a while, I close my eyes and you’re all that I see, smiling down on me.
Every once in a while, I dream about you and dream some more, about our life together.
Every once in a while, I look at our pictures and remember the frozen moments of our life.
Every once in a while, I let my eyes be washed by tears, to see life with a clearer view once again.
Every once in a while, I do all these again remembering our love and all things which could have been but would never be!

This one brings out the sadness, the grief and the pain so beautifully! So well written, dear Shilpa and well done with the wrap-up post for the FoW2019! You’ve aced it!!
So much said in the chorus of a few well chosen words.
Poignant!!
Sad one. True for many.
We grieve for loved ones.
Happy Sunday, Shilpa 🙂
Beautifully said Shilpa. Grief comes in waves, abates and then resurfaces.
No matter how much we try and forget, the grief always remains as a memory.
It’s so poignant Shilpa… Grief is a powerful emotion and your poem brings it out beautifully
Wonderfully crafted piece and it brings so much sadness. Yes we do miss our dear ones
Her feelings though so intense have been subtly put across. A person will continue with her/his life but the pain will linger.

Tears lessen the burden from the heavy heart. However grief is tenacious, it does return back. Wonder whether time could ever heal it?
Sad but poignant and beautiful …. grief triggers lovely poetry
