My theme for this year’s Blogging from A to Z April Challenge is Cultivating Happiness. Today, O is for Optimism.
The mirror shows a vaguely familiar reflection.
The visible and the invisible scars stare back at her.
A lone tear escapes from somewhere.
The giggles of her children breaks her reverie
Seeing him dote on the children makes her forget the ugliness, once again.
Some day her love would tame the monster inside him, too.
A Word to the Wise
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise, so stay positive despite the hardships and tough times. Changing your perspective to a happy and positive one, attracts happy and positive outcomes.

Very beautiful Shilpa.
Good one. I just hope she is not killing herself for a man who doesn’t deserve her love.
Nice. Sometimes optimism helps us sail through the hardest storms and sometimes it paralyses us to take a firm decision leaving things behind for the best
Love the image with the encouraging reminder. I RT’ed this on Twitter.
Happy A-Z. Doing the challenge with 7 of my blogs. Here are a few of them: 🙂

That was a terrific take on Optimism! I loved it!
Cheers
I hope that day dawns today when she’ll stand up for herself & her children who’re hoping and praying that she does so.
Wonderful take on optimism 🙂
Beautiful! 🙂
Excellent advice and timely for those of us beginning to stress from the pressure of taking on too many projects in April. Your opening prose poem gave me the shivers; I couldn’t help worrying if the optimism in this person’s mind was misplaced.

I saw the pic on Twitter first and I loved it at once. Great choice!
That was kind of dark, though wasn’t it? I mean, if the ending means what I think it does.

This one is so deep and poignant! Wonderful!!
That’s such a sad story, actually. Not easy to see any happiness in it. But still, a good one.
