She knew what she was getting into from the very beginning.
Can she wiggle out by dropping out now?
She casts a quick glance over her shoulder and finds their eyes smiling expectantly at her.
She can’t let them down. She mustn’t! She won’t!
She clears her throat to speak…
And her mind goes blank.

Hahahaha… I feel like you were writing this for ME.
I fell a few words short last night, but when I woke up and realized my fingers were still typing, it was time to stop.
Aah! Then we are in the same boat, Holly! No, you are better than me, coz at least your fingers were typing. At my end, they are in the freeze mode! π
Was that how you felt about the Vipassana? I would feel that way for sure.
Nah, not about Vipassana, but this NaBloPoMo! π
Barely managed to post this day 3 post before the clock struck 12!!
the feeling when I stood on stage to give some speech π Nice one !
Aah! It happens sometimes to most of us π
Thanks Ramya!

Every time I open my blog to write π
SIGH!!

*Taking deep breaths*…..

Sigh!

That sounds about right in my case. π
Aah! We are in the same boat then…
Oh !! It happens…better to have it all written down…that’s what I did when I was asked to speak to an audience π
Yeah, that’s the best strategy when speaking in public.
This 55er is for NaBloPoMo though π
ha ha! this is my nablopomo too π Fun post, Shilpa!
Aah! You too, Parul!! π
Thank you!
Love the short story and effectively done with keeping the suspense open to interpretation. True, there is a gap between expectations and reality. A great one, Shilpa.
Thank you for your generous words, Vishal!
