99 Things I Hate… OK, hate is a strong word. Let’s say these are 99 things that annoy me or drive me up the wall or make me red-in-the-face or plain raving mad!

Which things annoy you truly, madly, deeply? Do share in the comments box.

    1. Yeah, they certainly need to be worn properly! Glad that we are on the same page for quite a few things, Lata!

    1. You must write your list too, Sunita! Looking forward to know about the things that get your goat! Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read!

  1. Thank you so much for the idea Shilpa. Just returned home and did not have the energy (mood rather :P) to think of anything else today. 🙂 Will do the 99 things I love part. 🙂

    1. Loved reading your list of 99 things you love and it’s wonderful to note that we have quite a few similarities. Glad that you took this prompt 🙂

    1. Aah! Glad to know that I am not alone 😀
Oh, you can do it, just give it a shot, Suman. Looking forward to read your list of things you love and hate! 🙂

    1. Yeah, I could write the first 50 easily but coming up with the remaining 49 was tough, so I’d note them down on phone or paper as and when I remembered something. And finally did it. Phew!! Selective replying, seriously… I have seen selective replying of birthday wishes on FB too. I mean how much does it take to say a thank you, when a person has wished you the best. And in case, you wouldnt even want to accept the good wishes from that person, why did you send the friend request or why dont you unfriend them!! 🙄

    1. Aah! You do that? But why milady!! 😀
Oh, I usually copy the comment, but sometimes when I forget, the pain of writing the comment again is way too much!

  2. If i had to write one, i think i can easily copy paste this by knocking at the most maybe 3 points only that too with great difficulty (may knock off even 1) ….Glad i know somebody similar to me…especially that selective commenting, hypocrites, calling all and sundry dear, love etc…

  3. That was quite a post. Plastic people, those irritating shopkeepers and so much more in common.

I’m going to do 99 thing I love & hate. But when.. that’s the issue. 😀

  4. Hahahahaha! Superb idea ya! Hats off to your patience to jot down 99 things!

Messy bathroom, ironing clothes, twisted capcha, share if you agree nonsense, oh so many more that I nodded my head to.

    1. Yeah, it took some time but am glad that I finally finished listing down my pet peeves. Glad that we have similar dislikes, Deepti 😀

  5. Compiling such a long list really needs a lot of patience! But when I went through each of the listed items, I nodded in affirmation for most of them.
There is only one and very prominent entry in my list of things that bring highest repulsion from within and it is the negative people, people who have very pessimistic outlook towards anything and everything in life.
And forgetting passwords is a major hurdle now a days that send me punching the beans bag.

  6. Hey ! I thought you were an easy going person. It looks like there are a lot of things that annoy you . Most of them annoy me too so I suppose I shouldn’t judge you ….. but I have some pet peeves . Perhaps I’ll note them down too . May just exceed yours by 100 ?

  7. I so enjoyed your article. Scrolling down I could identify with most. Forgetting passwords is my specialty just as never finding my keys. I hate it but now I need to self-improve on them so that they never get on my list. Number 1 is my no.1 too just like people wishing spouses on Facebook features in the things I hate.
    Great post! Loved it!

  8. I could relate to most of the listed items because they annoy me equally. The reality shows are the biggest circus of all times. I am tempted to follow you and come up with my list now.

  9. #30 and #79 from your list probably tops my list. Noisy people are so detrimental to creativity and imagination. We need to listen more. Not just speak , shout and scream hysterically. Great list by the way.

  10. #1 all along..
babe and dear – I hate and I loathe. I feel there is no dearness remaining in dear and babe is like ‘hey’.
Gosh I am with you on so so many of these items that I can’t even start naming. High five, Shilpa! 🙂

  11. I too hate many stuffs on the list specially the mundane works like folding clothes, making bed etc. It’s time I do a i-hate list too

  12. Wow, Shilpa, that is a huge list of things you don’t like. I can relate to many but would never be able to jot down so clearly.
There are all sorts of people and we need to refrain from them and move on.

  13. 99! Its really great to discover such things inside you. I also hate noise eater, I hate I syndrome and now I am feeling that I can also have a good list. I will do a things I love list too.

  14. Hahaha! That was superb, Shilpa! And, you know what? The very first one-people calling all and sundry “dear” is something that gets on my nerves, too! Call your dear friends ‘dear’, na! Apart from this one, there are so many on the list that are the very things I hate, too! People picking their noses in public (what is the bathroom meant for?) 😛 And, skin tight leggings (I will suffocate and die in those! I don’t have a single legging! ) And yes, ‘Share if you agree” and all that nonsense that plays with our fear!
So many, in fact! Let’s do one thing, for sure. When we meet, let’s add to this list and I am sure between the two of us, there will be some more things we jointly hate! 😛

  15. Hats off to you Shilpa for completing this 99 things list, It is ‘me too’ for almost all the mentions from this list.
Too much Gyan and I know it all attitude is my first buzz killer. I don’t fret too much over grammar as not sure about mine too 😉 This is one fun read post.

  16. Now this is something I would call out of the box and not 10 or 30 but 99. Glad you could bring them on paper and kudos for completing all 99. Earnestly, for myself I won’t be able to jot even ten.

  17. Hate is definitely a very strong word but like I told you earlier, totally agree with you on the first one and many more. I am sure my pet peeves would resonate with you too; people constantly complaining about being tired or sleepy at work. People who try to be offensive to hide their mistakes or shortcomings. Seeing chocolate, cheese, potatoes and rice treated so badly by dieticians.

I am so tempted to make my own list, it is so liberating.

  18. Bang on, Shilpa!

Almost 80% of the things on your list annoy me too. Grammar Jews cracked me up. And forgetting passwords is mine as well. But all thanks to the OTP regime & E-mail redirects! So far, I’ve sailed through. Phew.

  19. Whoa! That was intense. I agree to most of the points including loud burps, calling dear, selective replying to comments and wishes and so many many more. We actually think alike, Shilpa.

  20. I was smiling away as I went through the list shilpa and agree to most of them. I am adding power cuts, getting wet in a saree, children beaten, neighbors quarrel, bad roads, traffic jams, long Q’s 🙂 need to think more… enjoyed reading and commenting tool

  21. If I copy paste this list and publish as my 99 things I hate, it would be justified, except for the plagiarism! You have immense patience, Shilpa! I think mine would have a couple more including people forcing me to dress up and wear jewelry and “color coding ” me or anyone else.

  22. Great list Shilpa…..at times hilarious and funny, some of them are :)……..personally I try to stay away from people who wears masks all the times and opens and wears them conveniently a hundred times a day………:) I also hate people walking in late in movies when it has actually started, and then taking their seats by disturbing everyone else, they merrily check whatsapp messages on the phones when the movie is on……….maybe I will have to do a list someday ..:):)
