Yesterday, we went to a party and the dress code there was Black.
A friend is buying a new car, and he did an opinion poll on the color and he got 80% votes for the color Black. Incidentally, our car is also Black in color!
Another friends’ wardrobe consists mainly of Black. Yet another Blogger friend recently shared her love for Black Tees.
And I am in sync with Henry Ford too, when I say, “I can have any shape, pattern or design of shoes and handbags, in any color – so long as it’s Black!!” Yeah, all my shoes, sandals, slip-ons, heels, flats, boots…even the sports shoes are Black!

Loved this post. It is so informative and well researched. I too love the color black though in many Indian communities, it is consider a bad sign or omen for women to wear the color. Like you, I think its a classic color.
Nice post! Though Black is such a popular color here in US that I have started avoiding anything black. Every other person will wear it. If you want to stand out, wear anything but black!
I actually miss India where we find almost all the colors walking in the street at anytime, unlike here where majority will be wearing black. 🙁
