Things are as they are, not as they should be!

Friday Four Fill in Fun

You know, I am still cleaning, scrubbing, dusting, vacuuming, washing for the Diwali clean-up.Β  Looks like, today, I bit off more than I could chew. And as a result I am bone-tired. A concoction of headache and body ache has resulted in mass production of incoherent thoughts.Β  So, I am keeping it very simple today.

I am doing this weekly Follow Friday Four Fill-in Fun Blog Hop!

This week’s statements are :

1) Help! I really need to let go of my OCD for cleanliness.
2) My home is my castle.
3) I cannot wait to hit the bed tonight.
4) The sentence has 21 letters.

  1. Oh, it is soooooo hard to let go of that OCD in regards to cleaning. My kids are getting older and their rooms are their sanctuaries. I try very hard not to complain too much and let them have their space but sometimes I just want to go in and go crazy – cleaning that is! πŸ™‚

    1. What is this with OCD for Cleaning!! It is so tough to let go!! I know what you mean, Susi! But for our own good, we must relax ourselves and should not get too worked up about mess! (My other self is mocking me and saying, “Look who’s talking!) πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you so much, Asha!! The maids are busy and have no time for extra work! 😐 The cleaning is nearly done… tomorrow is the last day and it shall be spic and span once again πŸ™‚

    1. I guess, it should be all fine by tomorrow. Thanks Sugandha! Nope, cant afford to miss a post… a commitment is a commitment πŸ˜€

  2. Bless your heart! Friday’s are always crazy on my end too and I am exhausted… but I have posted and I am commenting like a good friend and blogger should β™₯ Better late than never!! At least you have a clean house to show for yourself. I still need to do that part! LOL

    1. Thanks Kathy for warm words… πŸ™‚
I am much better today and everything… blogging, commenting, (though I still have to respond to comments on my blog) and things at home are under control and sorted! Have a great weekend! β™₯

  3. For one I admire your commitment to your blog Shilpa… Hope the weekend brings with it much needed rest in a cleaner and neater home πŸ™‚

    1. Thank God, it’s all done today except for a minor 2-3 things. So happy to see a neat and clean home!! When will you start? Guess, you’ll get only weekends to do the cleaning!

  4. I keep telling i must clean up the cupboards, and just let them be as they are, It has been like that for quite a while. I am now more preoccupied with 1 and half hours of yoga, and I don’t feel like snatching time away from that to do specific cleaning like cupboards for instance.
One can do only certain things at certain time, so I have to let go the cleaning business. Anyway the house is overall kept clean by the maid. So, for the last few months, it is Chak de cleaning for me, and I am enjoying it.
Diwali is not far off, so enjoy yourself and take rest whenever you can, for I am sure you want to look your prettiest best on that day.

    1. Glad that you have maids to do the cleaning bit too, Rama! Mine are just for the regular tasks. I miss my earlier maid who would take up extra tasks when the work load was not much. The current ones have chock-a-block schedules!
Thanks… all’s done now and I am relaxed and happy too! πŸ™‚

    1. Yes, that’s the thing, cleaning is a never ending process! But I am glad that all the extra things that I needed to clean and most importantly de-clutter my home… that’s been achieved! Thanks a lot, Ma’am πŸ™‚

  5. Its a Sunday today and I have to get into the Diwali cleaning mode now! Will come back to this post again and again to remind myself my twin exists, I am not alone anymore πŸ˜€

  6. I guess, you would not want to have an obsession for cleaning every nook and crevice of our home! πŸ˜€
