She fumes, she frets.
She pleads, she screams.
All they do is mock and tease.
βYou are no goodβ, they screech.
She implores them to dance across the space so that she could pass their beat on to others.
But they turn their back with disdain!
Aah! The drama between the writer and her words.

If you sit back and wait the words come running. Chasing them isn’t a good idea. Great post on writer’s block:)
Ah! That’s not the case with me. When I sit back, they get into hibernation mode!! SIGH. Lucky you that they come running to you, when you ignore them! Thanks, Sulekha!
The dreaded writer’s block. Best to relax when that happens.

Do we not wonder at times, “who moved my words”,.why are the taps catering creative juices, turned dry? And thers comes a realisation that it was all there, only waiting for the right time to occur.

Wonderful post, Shilpa! You are such a master at the short fiction. So true about the writer’s struggle with words who seem to have a mind of their own and are not always cooperative!
