Synopsis : Love in Crazy Times is a tale of search for love and freedom, braving heart breaks, evil bosses and family pressure.

Amit is a daring middle class guy who chases both love and dream of starting his own business. He is faced with the hypocritical Indian society and the corrupt business class on his path. His victory is not easy and comes after a long trail of personal and professional setbacks.

Review : Love in Crazy Times is a story of Amit and his friends, narrated in the first person by Amit. The story is quite racy and has elements of humour, emotions, romance, drama and a bit of social message.
There is a detailed description of each and every character in the book to give a complete picture about him/her.

A major part of the book talks about Amit’s quest for a girlfriend. While he falls in love many times, none of his ‘girlfriends’ reciprocate his feelings which gave him constant heart-breaks is believable. The story gives insights about today’s youth, their beliefs, attitude, struggles and dreams.

The language used is very simple and ordinary, in fact it is incorrect and a bit odd at a lot of places. You’ll get the drift when you read sentences like, “He was the lone child of them”, or “By his description I knew it was she”, “Why it’s always me who got his heart broken?”… These are not the only examples of poor language but the whole book is written in this style.  There are quite a few spelling errors too and Suraj’s girlfriend is first introduced as Ritu and becomes Renu, a few pages later! It was a challenge for me to focus on the story and not on the grammar while reading this book.

Since, this is a story which lasts just 158 pages, it is a good time pass during a short journey!
