Tring- Tring, the phone rang.
She willed it to stop ringing.
Unmindful of her turmoil, it continued to disrupt her inner peace as well as the silence of the room.
Thoughts of an impending harassment over a crank call were clouding her mind, when she heard him say, “No, I don’t want a credit card.”

Fortunately, I don’t get any credit card selling/upgrading calls (any longer). BTW, why should the phone ring only in ‘Tring tring’ still? It can also ring like ‘Jadoo hai nashaa hai…’, no? 🙂

After a few rings, it should go to voice mail. Right?
The Tring Tring phones here have still not upgraded themselves to send the calls to a voice mail 😉 😛

I know… very irritating! 😐
That was an anti climax but matter of fact.
Yeah, I chose the route of an anti-climax… providing a seemingly trivial solution to a significant conflict. 😛
This actually made me ‘guffaw’…seriously!
That was the idea!! 😀

I always get calls for credit cards, water filter maintainence, investment cos.Now I handle them very well. Loved your F-55. I haven’t written F-55.
You must definitely try it out! 🙂
the end is quite an unexpected one and yet when you imagine our lives with pesky calls, who would it have been really!
True, we always wonder who might be that regular crank caller and in some homes, these calls might be the reason for discord in the family, much to the oblivion of the caller.
lol!!! I pick the phone listen the word “I am calling from XYZ Bank” and promptly say, “Not interested than you” and disconnect the call 😀
😀
Yes,these cranky calls are a great nuisance.
True!
I get sometimes irritated by these calls. Nicely written for the prompt 🙂
