My theme for this yearβs Blogging from A to Z April Challenge is Feelings and Emotions from A to Z in 55 Words. Today, W is for Wicked.
You must learn to let go.
You must realize that some people are a part of your history, but not a part of your destiny.
You can’t move forward if they continue to pull you down.
It is perfectly ok to burn a few bridges… That would keep the freaky lunatics from coming after you!

Very well said.
Thanks!
Back in the early, EARLY days of the internet – you know, when a 286 was lightning fast and there was only green letters on a black screen – I stopped getting online for a while because I thought EVERYONE there was crazy and/or psychotic! *lol*
LOL π
Simply superb! Loved the last few lines especially: you must burn a few bridges, to keep the freaky lunatics to come after you. You do owe this to yourself.
True. The best gift you can give to yourself!
Shilpa, you are a master of 55ers. Todays post is the ‘bestest’, leaving others much behind. ‘ some people are part of your history but not part of your destiny’. How true!
Thanks Ma’am. You are sooo generous π
Absolutely. Sound advice.
Thanks Rachna!
To the point and hard-hitting just the way wicked should be. read my #atoz challenge post for today http://poojasharmarao.blogspot.in/2015/04/without-you-in-memory-of-my-late-father.html
Thank you Pooja!
Very crisp, Shilpa!
Thanks Mr Bhatia!
freaky lunatics!!! Indeed, there are some!
You bet… they are and there are lots of them! π
many a times letting go is difficult but it is important without any doubt…nice post Shilpa! π
Agree completely! Letting go is not so easy! But then nothing comes easy, in life. But then you have to let go of things that pull you down, and that’s for your own good!
Rocking advice! Burn them now π
π
I learnt this the absolute hard way! There’s so much wisdom in these 55 words! yea..let go!
We learn it the hard way… always!
Loved this post! As several other people have said, the last paragraph is brilliant!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed this 55er! π
Very true. In this age of 24/7 connectivity with virtual technology it’s important to know when to shut off people who try to pull you down.
It is not only important but mandatory and that’s for your own sanity!
It is good to know who those freaky lunatics are so we can indeed burn those bridges. “freaky lunatics” made me laugh.
Oh, we know them in our heart, always! It’s how and when to take that step to burn the bridge that we dont know π
Oh Yes! I have learned this the hard way! So halleluja! Burn the bridges and leave the bad ones behind!
Amen!
I loved the ending π that’s so true π
Thanks Raj π
Wonderful blog you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any community forums that cover the same topics talked about in this article? I’d really like to be a part of group where I can get responses from other experienced people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!
Good one π

Thank you Sundari! π
π bang on.
Thks Janaki! π
Completely agree, loved the line ‘some people are a part of your history, but not a part of your destiny.’
Thks Ruchi π
Ah… Too true. It takes some of us longer to figure out that some people are best lost than found. And the bit about burning bridges so lunatics can’t come after you made me giggle — I pictured a raving horde right out of The Walking Dead π
Thanks for the visit over at Quiet Laughter — so glad you’re enjoying the posts π
I wonder why it takes long for us to pull that chord!! I am seeing The Walking Dead in my head now too π
Too right, and love the reality check at the end!
Thanks Lisa π
It is perfectly ok to burn a few bridgesβ¦ That would keep the freaky lunatics from coming after you! – I second that. π Sometimes that is required to maintain our sanity. π
True that! It’s for our own good that we need to weed out such people from our life π
Well said oh wise one!
Keith’s Ramblings
π Thanks Keith π
Big message in few lines!!! π
Thanks Madhumita! π
So true, Shilpa. Sometimes it’s best to leave some people in the past. They’re like unwanted baggage, constantly slowing us down, making us drag.
Well said, Kadambari! We usually think that holding on makes us strong; but sometimes itβs letting go. It is important to not dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next and move on!
Cute post Shilpa! π I can’t help but smile at the way you wrote it: well said! I have nothing more to add other than I love the use of your words and phrases. π <3
Thanks Elly! Glad you enjoyed this post π β₯
Thanks for the wise words. You sure are good at packing lots of emotion and wisdom in 55 words. Way to go!
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words, Cat π
So well said and I agree with each word there. Sometimes to move ahead, we need to cut ourselves from those who pull us down..
Agree with you Parul. Life moves on and so should we!
So true. Its better to keep such crazy people away than to have them spoiling our mood all the time!
Yes, like they say, youβve gotta know when itβs time to turn the page!
So true, though it seems difficult at times but not letting will never let us grow in love and be exposed to relationships. A simple tale with wisdom:)
It is certainly not easy! But the truth is, holding onto past pain and resentment will only hold us back… so let go!
