Her pudgy fingers trace the creases on her face.
“What are these?”
“Oh, these are the road maps of the journeys that I have taken in this life.”
“Can I take the same road?”
“No two journeys are the same, but I hope you take some of the same roads and some I hope not!”

Love this story! Wrinkles should be celebrated, unlike our popular culture (movies, magazines, etc) that glorifies PYTs.
How uplifting to see this worn and well used road map. Must have traced some amazing journeys
Oh Shilpa, what a mind blowing photograph and a lovey tribute alongside Loved it totally. Amazing interpretation on maps.
You go!
So beautiful Shilpa. Lovely story.
This is indeed beautiful and poignant. You wrote so much in so little words.
Love this tale, Shilpa. Awesome as always!
Lovely. I missed my grandmother after reading this.
Wonderful story. Loved the photo very much. Wrinkles full of life lessons.
Loved your take on the prompt. Age should be celebrated. Noone else can give so much of information and stories and love other than an aged person.
Yup. No two journeys are the same.
A face filled with life! Lovely.
I loved the serene face and its gorgeous facial contours- lovely tale, full of wisdom for all of us!
What an amazing take on the prompt! Goals!
This is very true, the wrinkles show the journey she has been though. Lovely take on the prompt.
You are right. We need to own our wrinkles and scars too. They are witness to our journey, and at times souvenirs of our strength.
I love that photo, Shilpa! And what an apt 55! Hugs!
You are a genius at this. I don’t know if I would even have thought of this for map! Lovely take on the prompt 🙂
Beautiful, true and so haunting! You are a pro when it comes to creating these tiny tales. Well done, Shilpa!
Loved her smile, the pic speaks everything for me:) and the words are powerful, great going shilpa, you are blessed.
Oh I love this. Such a different and refreshing take on the prompt. And I completely love that ‘map’.
Thats the art of a writer – you said a million words within a few words!!
Perfect – love your take on the prompt! I happily take some of the same roads, either for a do-over or to do it all over again!
I love your interpretation of the map. With age comes life experience which is more valuable than anything else!
